Diodato Hairstyle

Via Pretorio, 4, 22100 Como CO, Italy

Diodato Hairstyle, a hair salon situated in the heart of Como, carries a legacy of spanning nearly 30 years and is part of the Como4Como project. Giuseppe Diodato began his career in the industry in 1970, accumulating years of experience before taking over the business in Via Pretorio 4, which he now runs with his children Andrea and Mary. Since 2018, a new chapter has begun for Diodato Hairstyle, marked by the acquisition of the structure and the formation of a loyal clientele, sometimes consisting of both tourists and some Como 1907 players.

Andrea adds: “We have many international clients who return even after years, some travelling from France or Germany just to have their hair done by us. It’s very rewarding, as it shows that people appreciate not only our work but also the atmosphere we create.”

On customer loyalty and quality, Andrea says, “We’ve built strong relationships with our clients, who often recommend us to others. The central location, close to the Duomo of Como, certainly helps, but it’s the warm and familiar atmosphere that sets us apart.

What makes this salon unique is its approach to products. “We’ve chosen to use a brand that can’t be found online or in shops, while maintaining competitive prices so that clients come back to us. This is important for a hairdresser, as mainstream products are widely available and clients could purchase them elsewhere at lower prices,’ he explains. ‘But our products are exclusive to salons like ours.”

The salon undergoes a refresh every year. “We always like to introduce something new, such as changing the layout or adding design elements,” says Andrea.

The decision to run the salon without employees allows for a more personalised service, which clients appreciate. “We’ve chosen to maintain a cosy, family-like atmosphere by not having employees. This requires more sacrifices, but it enables us to offer a more tailored service.”

One of the most significant changes in recent years has been the purchase of the premises where the business operates. “This has given us a real boost, allowing us to focus even more on service quality. We’ve also implemented new marketing and customer loyalty strategies.”

For Andrea, innovation is key: “We’re careful not to let the job become routine. We always try to offer something new to our clients, whether it’s a change in style or a small gesture, like offering a biscuit or a glass of prosecco.”

Touchpoint Spotlight: DRIVER Como https://comofootball.com/en/touchpoint-spotlight-driver-como/ Fri, 06 Dec 2024 17:09:47 +0000 https://comofootball.com/?p=79344 DRIVER Como

Via Pasquale Paoli, 114, 22100 Como CO, Italy

DRIVER Como, owned by the Como-based company Effepark srl, marked its 10th anniversary in 2024, having opened on 27 March 2014. Spanning 8,000 square metres of fully indoor space, it is a haven for motoring enthusiasts, offering a variety of experiences that blend entertainment, dining, and hospitality.

“Our vision was to create a unique venue where the allure of motoring meets entertainment and hospitality,” explains a representative from the Effepark team. One of its standout features is a restaurant inspired by iconic 1950s American vehicles, showcasing a Kenworth truck and a bus repurposed as dining spaces. Guests can also enjoy a 130-seat Pub & Grill, equipped with large screens to broadcast major sporting events, including Como 1907 matches.

Participation in the Cheers4Como initiative felt like a natural fit, the team adds: “We wanted to create a space that combines the charm of a pub with the comfort of a living room, making DRIVER Como the perfect place to experience the thrill of football.” To celebrate Como 1907’s return to Serie A, DRIVER introduced a special cocktail: a naturally blue drink, reflecting the team’s colours, gifted to fans during the match against Cagliari back in August.

Beyond its hospitality offerings, DRIVER Como is a hub for entertainment. The TOP RACE Park features two karting tracks, an indoor two-level circuit and an outdoor track dedicated to drifting, alongside eight interconnected driving simulators and a Formula 1 simulator. For younger visitors, the KIDS Park boasts electric car tracks and hosts over 1,300 birthday parties annually.

‘For those seeking exclusivity, there is the White Lounge, a private area perfect for parties and private events,’ the team adds. Large spaces are also reserved for meetings and corporate events, with conference rooms in different sizes.

“For private events, the White Lounge provides an exclusive setting, ideal for parties or gatherings,” adds the team. DRIVER Como also caters to corporate needs, offering flexible conference rooms for meetings and events.

Since its inception, DRIVER Como has prioritised social commitment. In collaboration with the Automobil Club Como, it has hosted free road safety events, involving schools and local communities to promote awareness and education.

Among its annual events is the Cruisin Rodeo, Italy’s largest gathering of American vehicles. This two-day event draws hundreds of exhibitors and enthusiasts, creating a celebration of American motoring culture.

With its diverse offerings and meticulous attention to detail, DRIVER Como remains a landmark for fun, entertainment, and motoring passion on Lake Como.

Touchpoint Spotlight: The Padel Resort https://comofootball.com/en/touchpoint-spotlight-the-padel-resort/ Thu, 28 Nov 2024 14:31:33 +0000 https://comofootball.com/?p=69938 The Padel Resort

Via Pasquale Paoli, 55, 22100 Como CO, Italy

The Padel Resort opened in early 2024 as part of a visionary project led by the Parolini family, who also own the Maserati showroom within the Iperauto Group. The ambitious resort began with the showroom and has since expanded to include a large padel centre with 11 courts, 9 of which are indoors and 2 outdoors.

“Our goal was to create a complete space for sport and recreation,” says Roberto Parolini, a representative of The Padel Resort. In addition to the courts, the resort features a gym, a lounge bar, and dining options ranging from a casual bistro to gourmet experiences.

The Padel Resort continued its expansion during the summer. In mid-July, a beautiful swimming pool with solarium and outdoor bar was opened, as well as the Como Hills Hotel, a four-star hotel with 21 rooms. The hotel has quickly become a favourite destination for tourists and business travellers alike.

“Our clientele is very diverse. We attract Como residents, visitors from Milan and Switzerland, as well as international guests from all over the world, who choose our hotel for their stay in Como”.

On the involvement of the local community, Roberto explains: “We admire the work that Como 1907 has done to promote the city, transforming it into a globally recognised brand. Being part of the Como4Como project is a great opportunity for us, as it perfectly aligns with the prestige of our centre, which is also enhanced by the partnership with Bric’s’.”

As it continues to grow, the Padel Resort aims to become a landmark on Lake Como, offering a unique blend of sport, luxury and hospitality: “We are still at an early stage – concludes Roberto – but, with our vision and the support of the community and our partners, we are confident of our future success.”

Touchpoint Spotlight: Golf Club Menaggio  https://comofootball.com/en/touchpoint-spotlight-golf-club-menaggio/ Thu, 14 Nov 2024 16:00:54 +0000 https://comofootball.com/?p=75889 The Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club, founded in 1907 by a group of British citizens, is one of Italy’s oldest golf clubs, nestled in a landscape that seamlessly blends the beauty of the mountains with the timeless charm of Lake Como. In 1961, the property became fully Italian when it was acquired by the Roncoroni family.

“The Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club played a crucial role in the development of the Italian Golf Federation. Our former president, Antonio Roncoroni, was one of the founders of the PGAI, the Professional Golfers’ Association of Italy,” says Doris Sivalli, the club’s current director.

“In the past, we’ve achieved numerous successes in youth championships and other national competitions, even earning a Star for Sporting Merit from CONI. We are currently working hard to return to the top of the national rankings. Our Youth Club is growing, and more and more young people from the area are becoming passionate about this beautiful sport. We hope to win some important new trophies soon!”

Speaking about the club’s connection with Como 1907, Sivalli adds, “I have always wanted a collaboration between Como 1907 and Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club 1907. It is a great honour to see two prestigious sports clubs in our area share values such as a passion for sport, hospitality, and the promotion of the Como province.”

The relationship between Menaggio and professional golf has always been strong. “World-famous golfers like Renato Paratore, Adam Scott, and Matteo Manassero have played here, as have many VIPs who frequently visit our lake.”

Over the years, the Golf Club has continued to grow and modernise, becoming a popular destination for lake vacationers, many of whom are drawn to the new technologies offered by the Club.

“Many tourists come here just to practise on the driving range, attracted by the opportunity to use the world-famous ‘Topgolf’ technology. This system allows players to simulate their game on the world’s most prestigious courses, includes features for training, and even lets you play point-based competitions with friends. For the younger ones, it’s like playing golf in a video game, with characters like Sonic starring in the game!”

The club is also committed to environmental sustainability, with the course maintained entirely chemical-free. They also focus on promoting the region and educating the public about environmental issues.

“Giovanni Veronelli, our instructor, is a true Comasco. He has a great passion for golf and children’s activities. Last year, we organised several events to introduce children to the golf course from a naturalistic point of view, and Giovanni was a key figure in this project.”

Touchpoint Spotlight: Moras Boutique https://comofootball.com/en/touchpoint-spotlight-moras-boutique/ Sat, 22 Jun 2024 10:03:16 +0000 https://comofootball.com/?p=53270 Moras Boutique
Corso Ariberto, 29
22070 Capiago Intimiano (CO)

Mirko Moras, 55, owner of Moras boutique on Corso Ariberto in Capiago Intimiano, celebrated a special day on 9th June – his birthday. Mirko dedicated the boutique’s display windows to Como 1907, showcasing the team’s Renaissance picture taken at Villa Olmo as part of an initiative supporting the Quelli che…con Luca ONLUS, an association that helps fund research for childhood leukaemia.

Mirko inherited the business from his father. “My father Vittorio opened his first tailor’s shop in Piazza San Pietro, Capiago Intimiano, in 1958, followed by another in Corso Ariberto in 1965. The store underwent a complete renovation and expansion in 1996, featuring numerous Italian and international fashion brands.”

The boutique also proudly displays the ComoComoComo x Bric’s high-end collection: “We were delighted to become a Como4Como touchpoint. It’s commendable that part of the proceeds support charitable causes,” Mirko adds.

A fan of Como 1907 since his youth, Mirko frequented the Sinigaglia in the 80s and 90s, often in the legendary Fossa Lariana sector, accompanied by his mother, who passed away last year. “This year, I wanted to dedicate my birthday to Como 1907. I adorned all the shop’s windows and interior with Como 1907 branded t-shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, and accessories. It’s all to honour to my mother, with whom I shared a passion for Como.”
